Mr. & Mrs. Incredible

So the first picture is from San Diego's Flight Suit Formal, a fundraiser party for the helo bubbas in the San Diego area. Every squadron picks a theme they dress up as, incorporating the flight suit into the costume. Our squadron's original idea was Broke Back Wolfpack, but it was shot down by the CO, so we went as super heros. Shelly and I thought it was appropriate to be the Incredibles, and Madison could be Jack Jack, but she was already morphing into fire, and demons, and everything else by early evening and had to stay home with the babysitter. Overall, the party was a lot of fun, and it is always good to have a night out of the house. Otherwise, the weekend was spent with me working on Saturday, and Shelly Working on Sunday. We did make it to church, and I was able to mow the lawn. It is the small tasks that bring such a sense of accomplishment now. Next week: the Christmas lights. Shelly is currently watching her two hours of t.v. for the week, Desperate House Wives and Grey's Anatomy. Personally, I watch Scrubs and The Office, for I perfer the subtle sarcacism and ridicoulous humor to the drama. How boring our lives have become.

Not too much else for the week. Madison is sleeping better. We have resorted to putting her down and letting her cry herself to sleep, which she usually does in about 15 minutes. Using the same philosophy, she is also napping "some" during the day. Sometimes, she does have sleepless nights, and this is where Shelly and I still get into the occasional tiff, for it seems a mother takes it personally when her child cries, where a dad can simply tune it out with the help of a pillow. As for her development, she is definitely becoming more interactive. She loves to laugh and is very ticklish. Also, Shelly can get Madison to mimic basic actions (e.g. sticking out her tongue or grabbing her feet). Oh yeah, as Shelly just mentioned, she also rolled over from her back to her stomach, and she can sit up for shor periods of time! Oh, it is the simple things in life that bring so much joy.
