(Cheering on the Beavs.... although not such a happy ending)

Alright, just when I bring some routine to updating the blog, I abandon it. I will admit this freely, and I do apologize. Most of you have some update to our situation, but in case you don't here is a recap. Since the last post, I graduated from the Naval War College and we have moved from Newport, RI. If you are curious where we are ending up, it is NAS Patuxant River, MD, a isolated base in Southern Maryland about an hour-and-a-half from D.C. There I will be working in Naval acquisitions (the buying and contracting of Naval aircraft). Although, that is not where I am currently writing this blog from. I am in Pensacola, FL receiving refresher flight training for the training aircraft, who's contracting team I will be working on. I have been down here since 15 Nov and will probably be here for a couple of more weeks. It is fun to be back in the aircraft, but also stressful, considering I have a lot to do in a very compressed amount of time.

As for Shelly and the girls, they flew to Oregon at the end of October, where they have been since. This is mainly because I would be in Pensacola, FL for a couple of weeks and spent a week homeless in Newport. Thus, to spare the family of the extra stress, they are staying with Shelly's family. As most of you know, there has been an adjustment period for them in OR, but everyone is doing well. Both Madison and Kate change daily. Kate is growing like a weed and eating solids, while Madison has more and more personality every time I talk to her.
Overall everyone is healthy, and though it is no fun being apart, I will be flying to OR in a couple of weeks to spend Christmas with them.
