Imagine This . . .

I am not going to put a picture of this on the web, but imagine this . . . Madison, sitting in our baby pool, wearing nothing but her goggles and swim shoes. This is the scene as I write this blog on our deck. "Hey Madison, do you want to put on your swim suit?" "No thank you." (At least she is polite.) Honestly, Madison would walk around naked all day if we didn't threaten her with punishments for doing so. For my other child, Kate is standing at my chair, begging for the pretzels I am eating. So, I have a nudist and a loyal companion for children. God has answered my prayers. Of course, when I prayed for such things, I assumed He knew I wanted my wife to be the nudist and a yellow lab as my loyal companion.

Otherwise, summer is here. We went to the local pool last weekend, for the first time this summer. They do not heat the pools around here, so we needed to wait until it warmed up enough to naturally heat the pool. We have also done some fun, summer activities, including Shelly taking the girls to a nearby National Park, that doubles as a working farm. Apparently it was a pretty cool time.

Next week I conduct a whirlwind trip, visiting several bases in four days. For those of you in San Diego, I will be there on Wednesday, and Thursday. I would love to see anyone who is there.
