Thank you Anheuser-Busch, Sea World Rocks!

I am not huge fan of the beer (Shelly and I prefer something with a little more flavor), but I am a big fan of the Anheuser-Busch family and company. If for nothing else, the last couple years they have given to military families free passes to their theme parks, which includes Sea World . So, on Friday, after work, Shelly, Madison, and I drove over to Sea World (via very long route that Shelly picked out) to see Shamu and all of the other sea creatures. Though we only stayed for a couple of hours and did not get to see Shamu's new show, we were able to walk through the different aquariums, see the Pet Talent Show, and pet the very dossile Clydesdales. I think Madison's favorite exhibits were the aquariums, where she stood against the glass and tried to figure out how to grab all the brightly colored objects floating in front of her. The Shark exhibit was also a big hit, for as we walked through the exhibit's glass tunnel, sharks swam right over us, and Madison would laugh as she tried to reach up at them. Personally, all I could think of was Jaws III, where tourists in a similar glass tunnel are eaten when Jaws breaks open the tunnel munching on her victims like popcorn. I enjoyed the Pet Talent Show. All the dogs and cats in the show were rescued from the local pound, which makes me want to, a) get another dog and b)get it from the pound. We also had dinner at one of the restaurants in the park. Though I think $35 is a little steep for cafateria food, I felt it fare considering our admission price of $0, but I felt sorry for everyone else in the restaurant eating the same food. Shelly and I also tried the new Budweiser Select beer, which probably drove up the price of our meal $15. It tasted like a very watered down micro-brew but an improvement over the traditional Budweiser.

That night we enjoyed a quiet evening with Shelly reading to me as I dozed off before the upcoming, always hectic, weekend.

I didn't know Anheuser-Busch owns Sea World. Sounds like you guys had fun. If you're even in St. Louis, be sure to go to the Anheuser-Busch brewery; it's amazing.

My, how times have changed. Crack Head doesn't like beer. I can't decide whether to laugh at that, or cry.
